Mortgage Loan Originator

Brainerd Savings & Loan is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to add to our team of lenders serving the Brainerd Lakes area. We take great pride in our 96 year history of helping our neighbors and friends make their dream of home ownership a reality.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Responsible for prospecting, establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, realtors, vendors and contractors.
  • Builds and maintains a mortgage lending portfolio while staying within established lending limits.
  • Ensures loan quality and growth for the bank.

Qualified candidates will have an energetic and competitive spirit, two years of mortgage lending sales experience, a proven track record of sales successes, and excellent customer service skills.

Audit / Compliance Specialist

Brainerd Savings & Loan is seeking an Audit/Compliance Specialist to add to our team. We take great pride in our 96 year history of being a financial partner with our neighbors and friends in the Brainerd Lakes area.

The person in this role will be responsible for overseeing operations, ensuring adherence to Association guidelines and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

The primary responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Brainerd Savings & Loan’s products and services; deposit and lending operation regulations; policies and procedures.
  • Have a working knowledge of quality control evaluations and audits.
  • Hold the strategic development skills needed to create reliable internal controls and monitor adherence to those objectives.
  • Possess the excellent written communication skills needed to draft and revise company policies.

Qualified candidates will have two years of banking experience (preferred, not required), and excellent communication, leadership and planning skills.
